Provenance: part of the altar (1729) of the church of the
“Weißfrauenkloster” in Aachen; when the cloister was
secularized in 1807 Ignaz van Houtem bought the church
and donated the altar piece to the parish St. Paul; according to
the inventory book the altar piece was in the possession of the
museum since 1880
Current location: according to an entry in the loan-book given to
the parish St. Paul in 1951
